Our Background

As far back as I can remember I’ve loved animals and have always wanted to care for them, then after a bad experience with a ferrier trimming one of my horses I decided to study and work hard to be able to provide not only my own horses but other people’s horses with the proper hoof care to help keep them sound and “rock crunching” that was 9 years ago. Now I have decided to further my education into doing cold laser/red light therapy on horses, donkeys, mules along with dogs. In the future I plan on going even further and studying in animal communication, animal behavior, nutrition for both herbivores and carnivores, aromatherapy, and a few more things over time.

Barefoot trimming

My desire is for your horses to be as healthy and sound as possible. Keeping a regular hoof care schedule throughout the year is important for hoof health. An inconsistent hoof care schedule is detrimental to the overall health and soundness of your horses. Overgrown hooves can cause injuries, abscesses, are uncomfortable to stand on, and are more difficult to trim. Suggested seasonal intervals are 4-6 weeks from March-October, and 6 weeks from November-February (this may vary based on individual needs). Appointments scheduled more than 6 weeks apart will be subject to “Setup Trim” fees as described below

A clean, dry, flat area is required for optimum results. Removing excess dirt, mud, and hair is greatly appreciated. Please have effective fly spray on hand! Horses must be caught and tied before my arrival.

Standard/Maintenance Trim (4-6 weeks Standard horses, mules and ponies: $50

Ponies and donkeys (under 12hh): $40

Young animals need to be trained to stand tied and be willing to have their legs and feet handled with little to no fuss, there is no bad age to start handling young one’s feet and legs.

Cold laser/red light therapy

Red light therapy or cold laser therapy is a beneficial therapy that is used to elevate many issues from arthritis to healing wounds, from allergies to hair growth, and from thrush in a horses feet to soft tissue injuries.
It should not be used in animals with cancer or those who are pregnant due to how red light therapy works
Cold laser therapy or red light therapy works by bringing the blood to the affected area to promote healing, it can also be used for acupressure therapy by using a red light to hit the meridian points of dogs, horses and even people and is a less invasive form of acupuncture.
When not to use red light therapy, If your pet has cancer, during pregnancy, is on any medication that can cause photosensitivity, should not be used directly on the thyroid, and should not be used directly on the eye.
